Document everything
Your goal over these next 4, 8, or 24 years is to document everything and keep records. Remember all the shit that happened in 2017? No, of course not, because there was a half dozen batshit stories every day and you probably forgot 90% of all the insane things that happened. You’re going to need a way to save news items and a way to document your daily thoughts on the state of things.
First one is easy. Get Pocket. It’s an online service that acts like old school bookmarks, but it’s universal, device agnostic, and it has phone and computer apps. Get the app and then install the browser plugins. See an article or piece that you’ll want to keep for the international tribunals? Click Save To Pocket and it keeps it all together. Plus, you can add tags so you can sort the amazing amount of shit coming our way.

Second, get a journal app. No, not for your hurt feelings and thoughts on guilt or grief. No, you need to document the big items of each day or week. They round up children and stick them in cages? Write it down in a journal with a time/date stamp so you’ll have records. They use the Texas National Guard to invade Oregon to ban abortions and round up immigrants (that’s all ready been proposed and it’s been less than a week). Write. It. Down. You will NOT be able to rely on internet archives, newspapers, or blogs to keep an accurate record. You have to write it down yourself. Keep track so you have a ready answer to “Well, like, what has he REALLY done that’s so bad?” from your racist uncle Ron.
There’s a ton more apps, but start with Pocket and Day One, or some variation of those that allow for the same thing.
